3.  EAMI conference

held in Fredericia, Denmark 21.-25. September 2022


The European GIM conference is arranged by EAMI and takes place in Danmark - 21.-25. september 2022 at the Conference Hotel Trinity in Southern Denmark -in the town Fredericia.

This is a hybrid conference - a combination of people physically present and online participants.

A bit of history and content of the conference: This conference was intended to take place in 2020 (where we chose to host a one-day online conference). This conference is a continuation with the same focus, the music in GIM, and it contains new presentations, four keynotes, workshops, concerts and a Saturday night dinner with music. There will be a business meeting and general assembly for EAMI, and an excursion with a ceremony for new GIM therapists at the famous historical castle Koldinghus.

For online participants
 We hope to be serving the international GIM community so that GIM therapists and trainers all over the world who are not able to travel can participate and take part in the conference. We have technical personnel to help us maintain your participation via zoom. You will be able to be present in real-time and pose questions in the chat during keynotes, papers, business meeting and the general assembly. You will also be able to listen to concerts with Danish musicians. All presentations will be available as recordings 30 days after the conference. Online workshops will be open for participants online, but not onsite workshops (for practical and ethical reasons).

For onsite participants
 We are looking forward to meeting you in physical form and celebrating GIM research and experiences together! Please register for the main conference starting Wednesday evening or the full conference including the pre-conference starting Wednesday morning.
The theme of the preconference is Trauma healing. Besides GIM presentations and workshops we have invited the well known Danish psychotraumatologist Rikke Høgh to carry out a workshop on self-care when working with trauma populations. We believe that this can be beneficial for all GIM therapists.


Registration for onsite participants:
The payment for the conference covers all presentations and workshops, ceremonies, concerts, one excursion, food, coffee, and a three-course dinner Saturday evening. Payment for accommodation (sleeping at the hotel Trinity) is separate - choose between a single and double room. There are special hotel prices for the conference, so please register here and not with the hotel. There is a restaurant at the hotel for early guests arriving Tuesday evening).

The conference is arranged by the European GIM organisation EAMI (for more information see the homepage www.music-and-imagery.eu (look under events, a special conference page will be announced here alter) in cooperation with chair Bolette Beck (Sounding Circles) and the Danish conference team.
